A fourth drillstem test is underway on the Amendao-1 probe in the Cabinda South block, a source said.
However, details of oil quality, flow rates and reservoir depths could not be confirmed.
The probe was drilled to a depth of about 1700 metres, targeting the Loeme and Chela-Bucomazi zones.
Cabinda South hosts the Castanha development, which is progressing towards first oil.
The project involves production from three wells being fed through a 10-inch, 30-kilometre pipeline to Chevron’s Malongo terminal for export.
