In Argentina’s Neuquen basin Pluspetrol is one of several companies holding acreage with high unconventional gas potential.
“We are very familiar with the Vaca Muerte formation, which is attracting all the interest in unconventionals. It is present on some of our established production blocks such as Centenario,” said Pluspetrol chief executive Stephen Crowell.
Pluspetrol is yet to follow in the footsteps of companies such as Apache and Repsol-YPF by testing the unconventional play.
