State-run Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) has signed a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding with Dubai-headquartered Lloyds Energy for potential liquefied natural gas import projects in the Philippines, writes Amanda Battersby.

PNOC said the agreement allows the parties to “explore co-operative ways for the development of LNG facilities and natural gas generation plants and other related activities” in government properties in Limay, Bataan, Bauan in Batangas and Mabini in Batangas.
