Chinese company Poly-GCL has discovered additional resources of gas around its Calub and Hilal fields in Ethiopia, writes Iain Esau.
Located in the restive Ogaden region, gas from the two major fields will be fed via pipeline to a new liquefied natural gas export facility in Djibouti.
As part of its ongoing development work, Poly-GCL has been carrying out appraisal drilling on the two fields.
