Chinese independent Poly-GCL has engaged French engineering giant Technip to study onshore liquefaction options for natural gas it aims to produce from Ethiopia and export via Djibouti.
Sources said Technip has proposed up to five options for the potential phased development, with the first designed to produce 3 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas, expandable to 10 million tpa in the second phase.
