US federal regulators have issued a final environmental impact statement for Sempra Energy's Port Arthur liquefied natural gas export facility in Texas.
In its report, the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) said the construction of project and associated pipelines would result in some adverse environmental impact, but that the effects would not be significant if the developers follow their own proposed mitigation measures as well as recommendations from the agency.
