This follows a dry hole at the offshore Fushia well in June.
Chinook, which now produces 16,700 barrels per day at its Tunisian operations, said its exploration well at Jenien has been cased as a “potential Acacus discovery”.
The company said the well hit more than 150 feet of reservoir quality sands. It will carry out completion operations to produce results by the end of September.
