PPL expects to start building the Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 rig before the end of next month and delivery is scheduled for December 2009.
The jack-up will be based on Singaporean PPL's proprietary Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling design and components.
The jack-up will be able to drill high-pressure, high temperature wells to a depth of 30,000 feet and will be able to operate in water depths of up to 375 feet.
