Production from Parque das Conchas, while important for Shell, accounts for a small part of the company’s sizeable portfolio off Brazil.

Shell took a commanding position in Brazil in early 2015 following the purchase of BG Group, which gave the Anglo-Dutch supermajor minority stakes in a number of pre-salt developments.

The latest data from market regulator ANP shows Shell was producing 341,800 barrels per day of oil and 14 million cubic metres per day of natural gas in July for a total hydrocarbons output of 430,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
