An expression of interest has closed for contractors keen to provide a flexible riser and umbilical for the Crux project operated by Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell off Western Australia.
The two 16-inch diameter lines are vital ingredients to the project.
The flexible riser will connect the main Crux subsea pipeline to the Prelude floating liquefied natural gas vessel, while a subsea isolation valve on the seabed near Prelude will be controlled using the umbilical from the FLNG unit.
