UK operator Premier Oil believes there are 45 million barrels of oil equivalent remaining in the Chim Sao field reservoirs off Vietnam and the potential for additional volumes, writes Russell Searancke.
The field contained 55 million boe at the time of sanction in 2009, and has already produced 77 million boe, said Premier.
Operating costs are $5 per boe plus $6 per boe for lease rates.
