Oil prices were struggling in midweek to regain ground amid further growth in US inventories and concerns about slowing demand, but found some support from reports that China aims to open up dialogue with the US to resolve their trade dispute.
Brent crude futures were trading at around $61.80 per barrel midweek, after kicking off the week around $61.28. This time last week, Brent was above $68, however, climbing to nearly $70 late last week.
