Wintershall has started production from its operated Ravn field in the Danish sector of the North Sea.
The development, which is Wintershall's first operated project in the Danish sector, is producing oil from a newbuild jack-up facility located in a water depth of around 4000 metres, 300 kilometres north of the Dutch town of Dan Helder.
Produced oil is transported via a subsea pipeline to the German operator’s nearby A6-A processing platform about 18 kilometres away for onward export to the Netherlands.
