The 56-inch $4 billion line will run 1200 kilometres from Bandar Assaluyeh to east of Tehran, where it will join an existing 48-inch line from the capital city to Mashad.
Igat-11 will go through Bushehr, Fars, Yazd, Isfahan and Semnan provinces. Along with Igat-9, it is one of two new Igat trunklines to be approved and, along with partly-built Igat-6, is authorised to tap funds allocated for the development of the giant South Pars gas field.
