Thailand’s national upstream company PTTEP has invited expressions of interest from regional contractors for its proposed shallow-water M-3 gas field development off Myanmar.

Those that have responded include India’s Larsen & Toubro, Thai Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering & Construction and CUEL of Thailand, Vietnam’s PTSC, Gunanusa Utama of Indonesia, Malaysia’s SapuraKencana and China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC).

PTTEP’s proposed development is said to envisage two wellhead platforms and a pipeline to an onshore gas separation plant, which could be built by PTT Gas.
