Nigeria-born subsea engineer David Obatolu runs his own Lagos-registered pipeline repair company, Pulse Engineering & Consulting, while simultaneously nurturing Aberdeen-based startup Pipeline Integrity Management Solutions (PIMS), writes Barry Morgan.
Set up in 2016 and already offering pigging and inspection for North Sea clients, PIMS broke into the Nigerian market earlier this year in partnership with local manpower provider Deep Blue Energy Services, working on the Aiteo-operated Nembe Creek Trunk Line (NCTL), which snakes through OML-29 in the western delta.
