The Cuu Long basin is Vietnam’s premier production centre, and hosts many producing fields and production facilities.
An official from PetroVietnam Exploration & Production (PVEP) says tie-ins to existing platforms, is the preferred method for developing smaller fields due to lower capital and operating costs.
These will be either subsea tie-ins or via wellhead platforms to be determined based on water depth, well count and other factors.
