Woodside Petroleum has taken a final investment decision for the Pyxis Hub project off Western Australia that will provide new gas volumes into the Pluto liquefied natural gas facility, writes Russell Searancke.

The Perth-based operator also awarded the integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for the project to TechnipFMC covering a subsea production system, flexible flowlines and umbilicals.

TechnipFMC said it was the first call-off under a recently-executed five-year frame agreement between TechnipFMC and Woodside that “allows collaborative development of projects for Woodside through early engagement and utilisation of TechnipFMC integrated execution solutions”.
