Persian Gulf exporters had acted during past wars and troubles to ensure adequate supplies to consumers and are prepared to meet any shortfalls in future.
"The events taking place in the Arab region remind us of the debate and concern regarding energy security in view of the region s important role in meeting the global energy needs,’’ he said in his opening remarks to the 20th World Petroleum Congress in Doha.
