Gas-rich Qatar is to invest more than $6 billion in the UK economy, with energy and infrastructure projects on the cards.
The Middle East state will plough the £5 billion ($6.3 billion) in investments over the next five years into the technology and real estate sectors, too.
Finance Minister Ali Shareef al Emadi (pictured) said on a recent trip to the UK: "Currently the UK is our first investment destination and it is the largest investment destination for Qatari investors, both public and private.”
