Qatar Petroleum (QP) has issued tender documents to three short-listed consortia for work on the four mega-liquefied natural gas trains that will form the centrepiece of its North Field Expansion (NFE) project and the company is also expected to offer two more tenders later this month for the country's giant LNG expansion scheme.
QP said it has issued tenders for the LNG trains to a consortium of Japan’s Chiyoda and UK-based TechnipFMC, another grouping of Japan’s JGC and South Korean giant Hyundai Engineering & Construction (E&C), and a third group comprising Italy’s Saipem, McDermott International of the US and Taiwan’s CTCI.
