Qatar makes way for Q-vessel deliveries

Industry players said BG Group has sub-chartered at least three of Maran Gas Maritime´s LNG carriers—the 145,800-cubic metre Maran Gas Asclepius and Umm Bab (both built 2005), as well as Al Jassasiya (built 2007).

The three vessels, along with the sister vessel Simaisma (built 2007), were all chartered for 20 years to Qatar´s RasGas 2 project. The Maran Gas Asclepius had been sub-chartered in July at the start of its long-term charter to RasGas.
