Brazilian independent Queiroz Galvao E&P (QGEP) has started drilling a new oil production well in the Atlanta field off Brazil in an attempt to increase output from the Santos basin deep-water development, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
The campaign, taking place in 1549 metres of water with the drillship Laguna Star, owned by sister company Constellation Oil Services, is expected to last 90 days.
