Qatar Petroleum (QP) is set to award a crucial pre-front end engineering and design contract for work on its Bul Hanine and Maydan Mahzam offshore oilfields expansion project.
UK-based engineering player Wood is poised to secure the pre-FEED deal for the multi-billion-dollar scheme.
Multiple industry sources said QP recently chose Wood for the pre-FEED job following a competitive tender process that had narrowed down to just two players, with Norway's Aker Solutions understood to have been the other remaining contender.
