Quadrant Energy is completing the drilling of the second of a pair of exploration wells in the Greater Phoenix area off the coast of Western Australia.
The Phoenix South-3 well hit a sizeable gross hydrocarbon column and a net reservoir of around 16 metres with an average porosity of 8%.
However, permeabilities were assessed to be at the lower end of the range of expectations and further evaluation of data is required to understand if the reservoir can flow commercially.
