The two multi-billion dollar developments centre on the Bergading and Sepat discoveries, which together with neighbouring Bujang are the top three high carbon dioxide oil and gas fields off Peninsular Malaysia.
Bergading lies in Block PM 325 and is largest of seven gas fields earmarked for development under the Hess-operated phased multi-platform North Malay basin gas project.
The 1979 gas discovery will host a central processing platform tied to satellite structures lined up to develop six fields in Block PM 301 — Kamelia, Zetung, Gajah, Melati, Angerik and Kezumba.
