The outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) is believed to be behind the latest attack on a gas pipeline belonging to Oil India Ltd (OIL), the national oil company that is looking to boost its upstream operations in Assam.
The landmine blast took place in Dibrugarh district, about 500 kilometres from the state capital Guwahati.
