INDIAN private sector giant Reliance Industries is planning to carry out crucial drillstem tests on two key deep-water gas discoveries on Block D6, which could end a long stand-off with upstream regulator Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH).

Sources close to the D6 asset told Upstream that Reliance has decided to start drillstem tests next month on the D-29 and D-30 gas discoveries on the Krishna Godavari basin block.
