The development plan incorporates phased development of the satellite discoveries Dhirubhai 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 16, 19, 22 and 23, and the R-series wells R1, AR1 and AX1.
The combined potential of these two developments is estimated at between 2 trillion and 3 trillion cubic feet, according to industry sources.
Sources added that Reliance plans to spend close to $6 billion developing the smaller fields, though it is has still to establish a concrete figure.
