BP has halted all production from the Shah Deniz gas condensate field off Azerbaijan for about half a month to allow maintenance and repair work as well as to support tie-ins of facilities for the project's second stage, writes Kama Mustafayeva.
The project's gas terminal in Sangachal and the South Caucuses export pipeline have also been shut for maintenance.
BP said the shutdown is part of an annual work programme and is included in the budget and annual production forecast.
