Spain's Repsol is set to start a 3D seismic survey over its Kanuku block off Guyana this month, aiming to firm up prospects before drilling in 2018 or 2019, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Upstream understands the work will be carried out by the Polarcus Adira vessel, which is already in Guyana waters.
The Polarcus Adira recently completed a 500 square kilometre 3D seismic campaign using multi-azimuth techniques in Block BM-S-50 for Petrobras in Brazil’s Santos basin pre-salt play.
