The Brazilian joint venture between Spanish oil company Repsol and Chinese player Sinopec recently finished drilling an appraisal well in Block BM-C-33 with the drillship Ocean Rig Mylos in 2667 metres of water.
Drilling of Seat-2 took approximately six months and reached a final depth of more than 7000 metres.
According to Repsol chief financial officer Miguel Martinez, the programme found around 300 metres of a continuous column of good-quality hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir.
