P’nyang co-owner Oil Search said in its latest results that, based on recent evaluation of seismic and well data by ExxonMobil, Oil Search estimated the gross best estimate contingent gas resource for P’nyang had increased 34% to 3.5 trillion cubic feet of gas.
Only the discovery well has been drilled at P’nyang, but the joint venture partners are preparing to drill their first appraisal well — P’nyang South-2 — in the second half of this year.
