Saudi Aramco has unveiled a net profit of of $47 billion for the first half of 2019 — more than the combined profits of all independent oil majors — on revenues of $164 billion.
Although the profit was 12% lower than in the same period in 2018, it still makes Aramco the world's most profitable company.
“Despite lower oil prices during the first half of 2019, we continued to deliver solid earnings and strong free cash flow underpinned by our consistent operational performance, cost management and fiscal discipline,” said chief executive Amin Nasser.
