Earlier, Moscow-based Sistema said that it had acquired full control over oil producer Bashneft from obscure limited liability companies that are believed to be controlled by Ural Rakhimov, a son of Murtaza Rakhimov.
The acquisition deals cover a 77% stake in Bashneft and controlling stakes ranging from 73% to 86% in four regional oil refineries in Bashkiria, as well as the largest local oil products wholeseller Bashkirnefteprodukt.
