Subsidiary RHP Mukah won Block SK 331 on Sarawak, East Malaysia.
This is an 11,600-square kilo-metre tract that has the onshore extension of the Balingian basin, which hosts several oil and gas fields offshore.
The newly-awarded block also includes the area where Petronas’ LNG complex at Bintulu is located, and this plant could provide an offtake solution for any discovered gas on SK 331.
