Industry sources said the rig owner intends to change the rig design, originally based on a Gusto MSC CJ46-X100-D concept.
According to Wuchuan’s website the rig was ordered for Blue Ocean but sources said the order was placed by a single purpose company called Cyclotech Offshore late last year.
Cyclotech is registered in the British Virgin Islands but its investors are largely based in Singapore.
