Corallian Energy has contracted the Ensco 72 jack-up rig to drill the Wick and Colter wells off the UK.
Corallian signed a letter of intent with the rig contractor in May for the drilling, but it was unclear until now which unit would be used.
The two-well campaign is expected to begin in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals, Corallian said.
