US-based contractor CB&I has said it is negotiating final details on an engineering procurement and construction contract for the Rio Grande LNG project in Texas.
CB&I has been working with the project developer NextDecade for several years.
"We're now finalising detailed negotiations for the EPC phase, and we expect NextDecade to make a final investment decision in the second half of 2018," said Patrick Mullen, CB&I's chief executive.
