The military has again cracked down on the largely-Muslim Rohingya, one of Myanmar’s 130 tribal groups that has no status, in Rakhine (Arakan) state.
The ongoing violence has left around 400 people dead, including about 370 Rohingya and 13 security forces, since 25 August when the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, now declared a terrorist organisation by the government, launched attacks on security posts.
