Industry sources said Rosetti is already working on the project, which will feature accommodation quarters sitting on an 18-metre by 23.6-metre jacket linked to existing facilities by a 50-metre rectangular bridge. Shell’s decision to send work overseas will come as no surprise to disappointed UK contractors, and capacity issues at UK yards may see yet more work go abroad.
