An aquatic walking group in Le Guilvinec, Brittany, found the plastic bottle, which had been at sea for more than 2.5 years, on one of their regular Sunday marches last month.
Aqua Zen leader Gaelle Le Gall told Upstream this week that 12-year-old member Argan picked up the bottle, which, according to the note, was thrown off the Sea Rose FPSO at Husky Energy’s White Rose field in April 2013.
