Rospan holds licences for eight fields and blocks in the Yamal-Nenets region and is expected to produce 5.8 billion cubic metres of gas this year, against 4.2 Bcm in 2015.
However, after completing a massive drilling and infrastructure development programme at the East Urengoysky, New Urengoysky and Resursny blocks — to exploit high-pressured deep Achimov formations — Rospan’s output is set to jump to 18 Bcm of gas in 2018 and 20 Bcm in 2020.
