Just before the 13 May deadline for submitting applications to bid for the Layavozhskoye and Vaneyvisskoye fields in the Nenets autonomous region, Lukoil entered the auction, according to a spokesperson for the Natural Resources & Environmental Ministry.
The auction for the licences to develop the two assets is due to be held on 15 June, with the ministry already setting the starting price for the duo at about 8 billion rubles ($123 million).
