The ink is now drying on Mexico's second batch of shallow-water exploration and production contracts, formalising the award of 10 areas earlier this year awarded to explorers in the first phase of the country's second major acreage offering.
The deals stemming from Round 2.1 in June are expected to bring investments of up to $8.2 billion over the lives of the production sharing contracts that cover offshore areas in the country's Tampico-Misantla and Sureste basins.
