Russian private company NaftaTrans is expected to complete a rail unloading terminal and a small connecting pipeline to the CPC Kropotkin pumping station in the Krasnodar region.

The facility will allow Russian oil producers to discharge oil from rail tank cars and ship it to export destinations in Southern Europe, according to an official from Russia's state-owned oil company Rosneft.

Rosneft is understood to have contracted NaftaTrans to build the facility because Russia's state-owned pipeline operator Transneft has refused to build an interconnector between its network and the CPC system, despite the fact the CPC is not being used to full capacity.
