A stray dog population problem in the West Siberian oil town of Pyt-Yakh has prompted a regional supply subsidiary of state-controlled oil producer Rosneft to cast around for a solution.
RN Snabzhenie Nefteyugansk has opened a tender and is ready to pay about 80,000 roubles ($1400) to a potential contractor to catch, euthanise and cremate “stray and neglected animals” that live around its warehouses, located along the Yuganskaya Ob River.
