Egypt is faced with gas shortages that have forced the government to cut off exports from the country’s two liquefied natural gas plants to feed the domestic market.
Exports of pipeline gas to Israel and Jordan have also been suspended as the authorities struggle to find enough gas supplies to meet rising demand in Egypt.
