Two workers were injured in an explosion at the Gorm Charlie platform on 20 May last year after a pipe corroded and caused a leak because of a scavenger chemical's unexpected reaction to high temperatures. Production was hit for more than three months by the incident.
In the Danish newspaper Politiken, anonymous safety representatives claimed that only 10% of the pipes at the platform had been checked after the accident.
