Shell has insisted it will meet its “duty of care” in ensuring about 100 tonnes of low-level radioactive waste is removed safely from the Curlew floating production, storage and offloading vessel at a site in Dundee later this year.
After more than 20 years working in the North Sea, the Curlew FPSO is due to be decommissioned in the second half of 2019.
